What can you get out of twinmotion 2019?
Userinterface: menue and navigation
2 ways of how to start: Importing objects and creating objects
Transforming objects: move (key 4), rotate (5), scale (6), use TAB-key to toggle
Navigate in the viewport + shortcuts: move scene (middle mouse), rotate (shift + middle mouse) W,A,D,S keys to navigate, E,Q keys for UP/DOWN
Further menues/sidebars on the right: scenegraph, eyemenue, statistics
Navigate around objects: hold F-key and select object to zoom + hold shift to rotate with middle mousebutton
Save/Export images and understand “Nature” settings: you can only access to all settings of NATURE before saving image. Export images.
Inspector bar: scenegraph + filter function (objects, lights, characters…)
Copy and rotate objects: duplicate objects as multiple copies or instances (SHIFT-drag object) and rotate multiple objects. CTRL (STRG) to add to selection.
Change parameters of objects/components: use “material picker” to change color, scale, reflection, weather, Bump, Metallicness, Glow, Sound, two sided and “MORE” (Texture). Thera are objects that don´t support material picker.
Non visible components/objects: volumes, sounds, architectural sections through buildings, objects
Material library: “replace material” (all objects with same material) or “apply to object” (single object)
Material properties: f.e. color, opacity, metallicness, weather
Reflection probes: for animated reflections f.e. in windows add “Library/volume/reflection probes”- enable, brightness, size
Creating custom materials: bumb map, add reflection texture, save material for the future in user library
Measuring tool: Constraints (!), length, text position, Scale adjustment, color. You can also rotate the measure
Path tool: character, vehicle, bicycle, custom path. Change parameters like type, activity, width…
Example elevator for custom path tool: use containers to add to animation path
Orthographic view: Top, buttom, left, right (via eye symbol)
Camera settings: “Media/create image/more/camera settings”: output size (Pixel), FOV, perspective correction
Weather: “Media/Image/more/Weather”. Change sky, rain, snow and effects like wind, smog…
Localisation: “Media/Image/Localisation”. Setup localisation via map, month (jan -dec), north direction
Outdoor light: “Media/image/” change setting via “time-slider” for outdoor lighting.
Lighting: “Media/image/lighting”. Change sun, ambient, white balance, GI, Moon power, shadow, ambient occlusion
Depth of field: “Media/Image/DOF”, change blur over “more”
Visual effects: “Media/Image/Visual effects”, Color gradients (Type!), Filters and clay renderer

Walkthrough videoclip: camerapaths and animations
BIM Motion: create realtime application independend from twinmotion and be able navigate and to change settings.
Using decals: “Library/furnitures/decals”. Add imperfection like damages, leaks, puddles and transparent decals/signs/symbols.
Example for “phasing”: show design and building phases in an animated video
Construction, humans & flags: “Library/furnitures/city/construction” and add “Characters/humans/worker”. Change pose and animation of human.
Transform Gizmo/Keys: toggle through transform tools with TAB key
Animate material: “Scale/more” and animate speed
Navigation: reduce speed of motion with ALT key while using “W” key.
Change snapping angle in preferences
Replace objects: select objects, right mouseclick objects in inspector-“replace objects”, “drop here”. Start replace
Instances and breaking instances: copy objects randomly
Custom path for individual objects: physics, follow, speed, delay…
Change time of image in animation
Integrate sound: size (radius) of sound
Create content from city map: move environment aorund and in/decrease hight
Object groups: select, move, transform objects in object groups. change to other layer.
Quality of media in preferences: choose reflection update, leave refelection prober high for export
Shortcuts: key “h” = hide, key “O” to toggle around orthographic views, key “T” to pick material, first person view
