Introduction to Rhino 6 for designers and architects (33 min)

Main Menue bar: Curve / Surface / Solid

• Draw your first line

Left side bar:

• Use help panel for support of your selected command
• Draw your first surface with absolute and relative mode (@)

Command line:

• Draw your first box with 3 point method
• Draw your second box with diagonal method and relative mode

Navigate in viewport with mouse:

• Rotate: right mouse button
• Zoom: Middle mouse wheele or STRG (CTRL) + right mouse
• Pan: SHIFT + right mouse
• Rotate around  selected object: CTRL (STRG) + Shift + right mouse

Viewport: Top, Perspective, Front, Right:

• active viewport: blue
• toggle fullscreen workspace or 4 viewports with double klick viewportname
• toggle between viewport: STRG (CTRL) + Tab-key

Viewport display modes: wireframe, shaded, rendered

• middle mouse klick menue: displaymode, zoom…
• select several objects with mouse over

Select several objects with mouse over:

• left to right: everything in selection
• right to left: everything touched by selection
• Setup Grid in viewport

Left sidebar: Properties, layer, help… (Menue/Tools/Object snap/persistance Osnap Dialog on)

Status bar: units, layer, Gumball, Objectsnap

Gumball:

• move, scale, rotate objects
• enter scalar values
• Gumball settings: relocate gumball

Object snap settings and copy objects (move and ALT-key)

Select edges or surface of solid objects with STRG (CTRL) + shiftkey and mouse select
Project object snaps to CPlane (Rhino/Options/Modeling Aids/Osnap) – not in video, but prevents from moving in Z axis
