This video shows you what to do if you have surfaces that need slots for digital production.You need the internal Rhino program Grashopper for parametric design and no pepakura.

Bake grashopper into Rhino in new layer

Project surfaces on planar X/Y axis with nodes:

Bake oriented surfaces in Rhino and nest them in lasercutting rectangle 70 x 45cm by hand

Export selected to illustrator as dfx: before switch of “show isocurves”

Use Cutting template of college in illustrator
Place DXF and scale in Illustrator (cm to mm)
select “Cutting” color
Change contour thickness to 0.01
Save for lasercutting as Illustrator 4.0
